Patrick Brough

Patrick John Brough (born 20 February 1996 in Carlisle, England) is a 1.91 m left-back who recently joined Tranmere Rovers on a two-year deal effective June 2025. He came through Carlisle United’s academy and made his senior debut in 2013, before loan spells at Lincoln City and Salford City. After leaving Carlisle in 2017, he had stints at Morecambe and Falkirk before spending four years with Barrow, where he made 156 league appearances and scored eight goals.

He joined Northampton Town in League One in summer 2023, making 46 appearances and contributing two goals before suffering a fractured leg in September 2024 that curtailed his second season. Despite the setback, he returned to action late in the campaign and earned a move to Tranmere, seeking a fresh start under manager Andy Crosby.
